Choosing the right genetics
The strains you find here at Buku Loud are chosen carefully for cannabinoid spectrum, terpene profile and medicinal benefits. We observe, separate phenotypes and propagate the lines that stand out. We then proliferate the strains that meet the “cut” by cloning them with a rooting technique before transplanting into the coco based media they will inhabit until it is mature and ready for harvest.
Nutrients are Given
Vegetative Growth Cycle
Our Proprietary Blend of Nutrients
During the vegetative cycle, our plants are given a proprietary blend of nutrients directly to the root mass. We monitor and allow the plants to thrive unobstructed by nutrient imbalance. The plant is aided in absorbing these nutrients by select species of beneficial root microorganisms.
We prune the plants 7-10 days before the transition into bloom, removing any weak branches and future “popcorn” nugs. Our plants are shaped for optimal bud production so that our shelves are stocked with large nugs that are potent and aesthetic.
Very Special Care
Bloom Cycle
Flower like you’ve never seen before
During the first 2-3 weeks of the bloom phase, our plants will almost double in size. This is a very dynamic period of the plant’s life, so we use a nutrient supplement designed to ease the stress this rapid growth can cause.
The nutrient regimen and pH are altered methodically throughout bloom to ensure our patients have access to dense, sticky buds that are covered in trichomes, and potent with medicinal cannabinoids.
Care and Attention
Dry and Cure
Finishing the product for your consumption
Our plants are treated with care and attention throughout the finishing process. We start with a slow drying period, controlling the environment to allow moisture out while retaining the essential oils we love so much. After the plants have dried sufficiently, our flower is hand trimmed with love. The flower is then placed in glass containers. We store the flower in a dark, cool environment and monitor each container daily until the flower has cured and is ready for sale. The curing process can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks before the desired terpene profile is reached. At Buku Loud, we take pride in allowing time for the plants to reach maturity before harvest AND time for the flower to cure properly before sale.
